Greetings ..
This is my new collection of Al Jahili Fort in Al Ain City
Al Jahili Fort was built in 1898 by Shaikh Zayed the First and was used as a summer residence by the ruling family.
The fort’s restoration was part of a huge project launched by ADACH, whose aim is to revive the traditional and historic buildings of the Abu Dhabi emirate.
The fort is now a permanent museum and exhibition centre and houses galleries dating back to the 1980’s, a visitors’ information centre, a permanent exhibition devoted to the explorer and traveller Mubarak bin London (Wilfred Thesiger), a space for occasional exhibitions, an audio-visual programme that exhibits Al Ain’s history and development, and a book shop.Enjoy!
