DUBAI // An award-winning photographer inspired by his home town of Al Ain is paying homage to the Garden City with an exhibition of 40 images to mark National Day.
Amro Abu Kuhail, an Al Ain-born Jordanian, has taken more than 10,000 photographs since seriously taking up the pursuit six years ago.
To mark National Day, he will showcase 40 images of the Garden City in the Al Ain Heritage and Culture photography exhibition at Jimi Mall.
"Being an expat here my whole life made me think I should do something to show my appreciation for the only city that I have ever known," said Mr Kuhail, 25.
"To me, everybody really has something to celebrate. I feel very honoured and excited about witnessing the UAE National Day: 40 years of development, 40 years of improvements, and 40 years of uniqueness."
Talal Jodah, one of the oldest photographers in Al Ain, is to be thanked for kicking Mr Kuhail's photography into high gear six years ago. The veteran photographer gives free lessons to the public at his studio, Kawkab Al Sharq, which he opened in 1970.
Mr Kuhail said meeting Mr Jodah changed his life "180 degrees".
"When I first taught him he was a beginner, but he had passion," said Mr Jodah. "Anyone can take a picture, but it's only a photographic eye that can take a shot of a story. Amro has great shots with content."
Around the same time, Mr Kuhail joined the Al Ain Chapter of the Emirates Natural History group so he could see and experience more of his home.
"I was amazed by the history and culture of Al Ain.
"My photographs specialise in anything related to Al Ain - from its wildlife to its attractions, history and culture."
Brigitte Howarth, the chairman of Al Ain Emirates Natural History Group and assistant professor at the Department of Natural Science and Public Health in Dubai, described Mr Kuhail's work as moving.
"Amro is quite artistic," she said. "He does not just capture animals, planets or wildlife; he captures an aspect of their life that people would otherwise not know about. His pictures have moved a lot of people."
His work has already won him seven awards and is entered in two continuing contests: Al Ain Photographia Award and Emirates International Date Palm Festival Photo Contest.
"It's really sad to see all the development going on in Al Ain, and yet you can't see any pictures or books about Al Ain," said Mr Kuhail.

celebrating UAE national day

We are celebrating the UAE 40th National day, this is going to be a uniqueevent for all over the emirates.

Every body is celebrating it his way and one of my ways was that i have raisedthe UAE flag in the highest spot in Al Ain city at the top of jabel Hafeet. asthere is a campaign in twitter called : @fogbaitna3alm and a websitecalled : www.uaeflag.ae

We should all celebrate the national day , nationals or expats , myfamily here since 1968 , never been somewhere else. so it has obligated for usto share the happiness and appreciation of the great country that has been inthe top world countries and breaking all the records.

My next project is going to be on the 20th Nov. till 5th Dec , i will beshowing 40 pictures present al ain and will be selling each one for 40 dirhams.

Voting for Butinah Island to be one of the new seven wonders of the world is something we all have to work and give all the efforts we can for listing butinah island.

A great supported motorcycle guys who are very patriotic about UAE and they found a unique nice way to support the voting for butinah island and introducing the island to Al Ain city by using their bikes and contribute flyers and showing how people can vote for the island.

They did a great job, and i really thank them very much.

I was very lucky to have the great chance for taking theses pictures on the Al Ain Town from the top , it was so surprsing to see the view from the top and seeing part of Al Ain Oasis and the old souq. not only that , the view of the streets is and remembering the old and only bridge we used to have and how it's look like now.

Al Ain Paradise Garden/Park

Al Ain: The Oasis city has once again set a new world record by displaying hanging baskets with millions of flowers, in the shape of a huge pyramid.
Al Ain Paradise, as it is known, has found its way in the Guinness Book of World Records — which has recognised it as the world's largest garden — for the second time.
Many visitors said it was a unique experience to see millions of flowers in different colours, types, and settings — in a city known for its desert dunes and an arid environment.

The garden now occupies an area of 21,000 square metres including the corridors and walkways of the internal length of 2,400 metres approximately more than double its earlier size.
Attractions
It now has 2,965 flower baskets, instead of the previous 2,500 baskets, in addition to the flower pyramids. A theatre and a meeting area have also been added to the park.
A miniature Eiffel Tower, with a height of 12 metres and equipped with sophisticated lighting, has been erected to add more aesthetic value to the park. Al Ain Paradise also contains a 95 metre-long water stream.
It has been designed in the form of a natural rock dam where the water flows through in a circular course.

Jahili Fort

This is my new collection of Al Jahili Fort in Al Ain City

Al Jahili Fort was built in 1898 by Shaikh Zayed the First and was used as a summer residence by the ruling family.

The fort’s restoration was part of a huge project launched by ADACH, whose aim is to revive the traditional and historic buildings of the Abu Dhabi emirate.

The fort is now a permanent museum and exhibition centre and houses galleries dating back to the 1980’s, a visitors’ information centre, a permanent exhibition devoted to the explorer and traveller Mubarak bin London (Wilfred Thesiger), a space for occasional exhibitions, an audio-visual programme that exhibits Al Ain’s history and development, and a book shop.

Al Qattara Arts Center

ADACH lunched the Al Qattara Arts Center In Al Ain City and H.E Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Zayed Al Nahyan opened the centre with H.H Sultan Bin Tahnoon , H.H Hazza Bin Tahnoon , H.H Zayed Bin Tahnoon , Mr. Mohammed Al Neiyadi.

The Al Qattara Arts Center will have an extensive arts and culutre programs with full equipped classrooms including a different studies for a vareity of activities like music classes , crafting , pottery , photography , drawing , painting , Arabic Calligraphy cafe and wonderful library.

Desert Lakes - UAE Al Ain

Greetings..

This is one of our trips for this weekend. , we went to a place here in Al Ain which is common for some birds to be seen over there, The place does not have a name yet ..as it is temporary but we called it the Treatment Plant Lake.

Lots of water on the desert and making the view is so wonderful , specially with the sand dunes , Jabel Hafit in the back and the plantation.

we went there to see a kind of birds which they is thousands of them , just coming for drinking water, I was hoping to see some big birds like Heron etc etc ..but the dont come over there as there is no fish on the water like Zakher pool.

Thanks for those who helped me in the information and thanks for the ENHG for taking us to this place.

Breast Cancer event ( Al towaya Park , Al Ain City)

With one week remaining in Breast Cancer Awareness month, events were held across the country yesterday to highlight the need for early detection. Hundreds of people wearing pink T-shirts and ribbons turned out at Al Tuwaya Public Park in Al Ain for a run/walk organised by the Sports and Cultural Club as part of a campaign by Tawam Hospital and John Hopkins Medicine.
Among those taking part were women who had suffered breast cancer and their relatives, including husbands, sisters, daughters and sons. Afterwards, participants were asked to write their thoughts and comments on a giant ribbon.

Breast cancer is the second most deadly cancer in the UAE, after lung cancer, and the most common in women. It accounts for 28 % of all female deaths. 44 % of cases are fatal, according to Health Authority Abu Dhabi. Many women are diagnosed only in the late stages of the disease.

This is one of the activity for letting the children enjoying drawings :)

Jebel Hafit in Wadi Nahayan

Wadi Nahayan is a remarkable geological feature on Jebel Hafit. There is also 'waterfalls' , a geologicalfeature created by water streaming down the northern face of JebelHafit.

it was a greatplace to visit and we had a nice time.

this is a collection of my pictures during one of our trips to RAK , to check the Dhow if has been finished or not..
Probably it will take another year to finish,people are building it hand by hand,

and then it will goes to Somalia. Those people are spending around 3 to 4 years to finish building it ..God they are so patient!!!!
also ..we did see how they cut the trunk of the tree ad make it to layers so that they can use it in the dhow , the machine is old , but still working efficiently :)
it's really amazing to see the amount of work they do to finish building it Will leave you with the pictures for better explanation :) hope you like them :)

Al Ain Zoo day time 1

Greetings...

Hope everybody is doing fine.. :)

This is the first collection of my pictures of the Al Ain zoo in UAE in Al Ain city at the day time.
We had a nice time looking at the animals and the different kinds of them , starting from the lions till the little birds.

there were so many animals that i've never seen and was very happy to see :) yet i wasn't able to remember all the names of these animals , but i am sure that you may know all of these animals.

story to tell

two years ago, one of my best friend told me this stroy..she said to me and it did make me learn a lot , then today another friend told me the same story! so i would like to share with it you :)

A man found a cocoon of a butterfly, that he brought home. One day a small opening appeared he sat and watched the butterfly for several hours. It struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and it could go no farther.

So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily, but, it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings. He continued to watch the butterfly, he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and the body would contract. Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It was never able to fly.

The man acted with well-intentioned kindness but he didn't understand the consequences. The restricting cocoon and the struggle required to get through the tiny opening, were nature's way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.

Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life. If we were to go through life without any obstacles, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as we could have been and we could never fly So the next time you are faced with an obstacle, a challenge, or a problem, remember the butterfly. Struggle a little - then fly!

What is Eid al-Adha:

At the end of the Hajj (annual pilgrimage to Mecca), Muslims throughout the world celebrate the holiday of Eid al-Adha (Festival of Sacrifice). In 2008, Eid al-Adha will begin on approximately December 8th, and will last for three days.
What does Eid al-Adha commemorate?
During the Hajj, Muslims remember and commemorate the trials and triumphs of the Prophet Abraham. The Qur'an describes Abraham as follows:

"Surely Abraham was an example, obedient to Allah, by nature upright, and he was not of the polytheists. He was grateful for Our bounties. We chose him and guided him unto a right path. We gave him good in this world, and in the next he will most surely be among the righteous." (Qur'an 16:120-121)

One of Abraham's main trials was to face the command of Allah to kill his only son. Upon hearing this command, he prepared to submit to Allah's will. When he was all prepared to do it, Allah revealed to him that his "sacrifice" had already been fulfilled. He had shown that his love for his Lord superceded all others, that he would lay down his own life or the lives of those dear to him in order to submit to God.

Why do Muslims sacrifice an animal on this day?

During the celebration of Eid al-Adha, Muslims commemorate and remember Abraham's trials, by themselves slaughtering an animal such as a sheep, camel, or goat. This action is very often misunderstood by those outside the faith.
Allah has given us power over animals and allowed us to eat meat, but only if we pronounce His name at the solemn act of taking life. Muslims slaughter animals in the same way throughout the year. By saying the name of Allah at the time of slaughter, we are reminded that life is sacred.
The meat from the sacrifice of Eid al-Adha is mostly given away to others. One-third is eaten by immediate family and relatives, one-third is given away to friends, and one-third is donated to the poor. The act symbolizes our willingness to give up things that are of benefit to us or close to our hearts, in order to follow Allah's commands. It also symbolizes our willingness to give up some of our own bounties, in order to strengthen ties of friendship and help those who are in need. We recognize that all blessings come from Allah, and we should open our hearts and share with others.
It is very important to understand that the sacrifice itself, as practiced by Muslims, has nothing to do with atoning for our sins or using the blood to wash ourselves from sin. This is a misunderstanding by those of previous generations: "It is not their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah; it is your piety that reaches Him." (Qur'an 22:37)
The symbolism is in the attitude - a willingness to make sacrifices in our lives in order to stay on the Straight Path. Each of us makes small sacrifices, giving up things that are fun or important to us. A true Muslim, one who submits his or herself completely to the Lord, is willing to follow Allah's commands completely and obediently. It is this strength of heart, purity in faith, and willing obedience that our Lord desires from us.

When:

The sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh) was to determine the day of Eid ul Adha as the 10th of Dhul Hijjah. This was determined by the Prophet (pbuh) sighting of the crescent wherever he was on the 29th or 30th of Dhul Qa'dah. If, as we are told by those postulating the 'Day after Arafat' position, that Eid ul Adha is dependent on the Hajj date, then why did the Prophet (pbuh) make no effort to ascertain the Hajj dates in Mecca for his Eid celebration in Medina? After the conquest of Mecca in the seventh year of the Hijra [the year of immigration from Mecca to Medina which marks the beginning of the Islamic calendar] there would have been no problem in finding out when the Hajj was going to be since there would be ten days for a rider to travel to surrounding areas with the glorious news. The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) made no attempt to know, or to inform the Muslims in the areas around Medina about when the Hajj was in Mecca. Every Muslim community prayed according to its own sighting of the crescent of Dhul Hijjah. Accordingly, all the scholars of Islam are unanimous that Eid ul Adha is on the 10th of Dhul Hijjah which is determined by the sighting in each locality, and NOT ON THE 10th OF DHUL HIJJAH IN MECCA. It is a bida to try to impose a Vatican-like dogma on the Muslim ummah, although the propagators would tell you that they are simply following a 'universal horizon.' Don't be fooled. In Ramadan of 1999 it was claimed that the moon was seen in Yemen and Libya, and the Muslims of those countries began fasting on December 8, 1999. Those who claim to accept any sighting anywhere in the world conveniently ignored those Muslims, opting for the 'universal sighting' of their choice. The Companions of the Prophet (pbuh) opposed every attempt to impose the moon sighting in one town over the others, even in close proximity, when it was not seen on a clear horizon, or when the horizon was cloudy on the 29 day of the Islamic month.

a couple of shots from our last weekend when we camped overnight in safwan . , it was an interesting night as we saw different kind of insects and for me it was the first time to see big spider's! , there is the scorpion that if you did the ultra Violet light to it , it will turn to blue! , also there is the picture wing fly , where it have two flies shape on its wing , and ants lines also some beetles!

we did have a nice night :)

Greetings all..

This is the first time for me to take UAE portraits pictures..and ummm sounds very please with them , but this is not the point..

The point is ..i always draw a smile with lots of question mark on my head , when i look at old people.

I dont know ,but if you really do look on the details of their faces ..they really SPEAK!!!!

how they lived , what issues they faced , behind this life face , what memories they had , what did they left behind..how their life is used to be..how and when and what and whom ....etc etc..

maybe i am over in my thinking or maybe because i look in to too many details ..but i really appreciate the life and make me wish to live more and more just to see what my details on my face may present ..or at least i might answer all the above questions :-)

Dragonfly and it's eyes

Greetings..

All insects have two large compound eyes on the sides of their heads, and three simple lens eyes or ocelli in the centre. There are two small lateral ocelli and a larger middle one called the median ocellus. In the dragonfly, the median ocellus is curved.

“Ocelli are generally thought to have poor resolution,” says Josh van Kleef, a PhD student at RSBS who is leading the research on dragonfly vision. “The general belief has been that they’re there to measure general light levels which can be used to stabilise their flight. The idea is that if they detect that light levels are falling they’re heading down, and if the levels are rising they’re heading up. This information is then used to guide their movement.”However, Mr van Kleef’s research is revealing that a dragonfly’s middle eye does a lot more than simply pick up on general light levels.

“The median ocellus is a simple lens containing about 1500 photoreceptors,” he explains. “These photoreceptors are connected to 11 large neurons (nerve cells) which go from the retina all the way down the neck of the dragonfly to the insect’s motor centres. It’s a very direct route from a visual response to a change in movement, and allows for a very rapid response to their environment.

Al Ain souq (souq alsamak)

Greetings..

As we did a trip last Friday , you could see some of the changes that happens in souq in the past two years.

This is a general pictures form the souq or as its says sometimes souq al samak.

For example: the open area used to be full of peoples who are selling green vegtables..and the dry food used to be uncovered.

This is souq it could be more than 100 years which is a good thing that it's still exist in al ain.

Lots of people refused to move to the new one as its almost a bit expensive for paying for the rent , therefore some of the little shops over there ( the woman who are selling herbs and henna) are free without any payment.

There is also the fish market where our old member Phill iddson identified more than 100 kinds of them . , they come every day from Dubai , RAK , or fujirah at the early morning.

Yet we have now Jimi mall and al ain mall , but lots and lots for people still prefer to buy from there as they are fresh and the prices can be vary (negotiated).

Muslim's Prayer(salat al qader)

Greetings..

I suppose to be posting this before almost a month ago..when we had Ramadan month (fasting month). but wasn't able to do it!

Here are a couple of pictures from lilat al qader salah(prayer) ( the night that the Quran was downloaded to our prophet Mohammed).

Qadr in Arabic literally means Power and ability; however, the reason for choosing this word to describe the night the Koran was revealed is that the power and weight of this night is greater than we can ever comprehend.
We should be feeling the joy of getting close to Allah and walking with the angles instead of wasting this important night. And look at the mercy and love of Allah he orders the angles to pray for everyone not just the believers. Even the disobedient get the prayers so let’s all hurry and take advantage of this mercy.

[97.3] The grand night is better than a thousand months.[97.4] The angels and Gibreel descend in it by the permission of their Lord for every affair. Why will angels in lailat ul qadr descend to the Earth? One reason only. Allah with all His might and majesty sends hordes of angels to ask for forgiveness for mankind. And what is mankind doing during this night? What are we going to be doing this night? Maybe sleeping, watching TV or maybe just hanging out with our friends. We should be ashamed of ourselves! Allah is reaching out to us and we should be reaching back and worshiping Him.
What are the rewards of Lailat El-Qadr?1- Lailat El-Qadr is better than 1000 months. Meaning that one night of worshipping is better than 83 years (almost your entire life) spent in worshipping Allah SWT.2-Whoever performs qiam el lail during Lailat El-Qadr will have all his past sins wiped.3- All prayers and supplications are answered so spend the entire night making supplication.4- Saftey from Hellfire and a welcoming to jannah.

So when is this great night? It is a common misconception that it is the night of the 27th of Ramadan. The sahih Hadith all mention that it is during one of the odd nights of the last 10 nights. Allah has intentionally hid it because he loves to hear our prayers more than one night.

reading 1 letter of the Koran has the reward of 700 hasanah. Please let’s all take advantage of the gift.Lailat El-Qadr is a celebration night for the heavens creations just like Eid for us! So let us all celebrate with the angels by reading the Koran and performing qiam lail and by praying to Allah. The prophet says “Read the Koran for it will come on the Day of Judgment as a mediator to ask for forgiveness for its reader.” The Koran will also be the only light that is allowed in your grave so without Koran you will spend all your time in the grave in darkness!
In the Surah it also mentions Al-rooh (the angel Gabriel) what is the mission of Gabriel PBUH? Normally it is to deliver the message of Allah to His prophets so what does this have to do with Lailat El-Qadr? Gabriel PBUH is the one who brought the Koran to Mohammed PBUH in Lailat El-Qadr, so Allah honored the angel by making this an anniversary for Gabriel to descend to earth and check on the servants of Allah and see the impact the Koran has made in their life. So now imagine the angel Gabriel coming to your house. Will he find you taking advantage of the gift of Allah or will he see it sitting on a shelf somewhere? Remember that during Ramadan

What a wonderful feeling to be very patriotic about your Country! your God!! and your president!!!

Believe it or not , here in Al Ain City one of the local family the made an amazing sign on the top of their house written in Arabic ( Allah then alwatan then al ra`ees) (الله والوطن والرئيس)

I was very happy to this sign as I've never ever saw that kind of sign in my life , it really made me feel that there are still people who aer not only love women but yet they do love other things!!

even it tells you how people are holding their nationality hand by hand and are very proud about their country

I wish i know more English to describe it very well but as it says my pictures worth a 1000 words :)

These are couple of shots of the wonder gecko here in UAE , usually you can find them on the desert , specially on jabal Ali area in Dubai.

This is one of the most favourite gecko for me , it has lots of special characters making it unique to me.

I always like the eyes of them , and i always like their kind of everything , the way they walk , the way they eat , the way they look at you.

On the Latin name is : teretoscincus ,keyserlingii (Persian wonder gecko)

Khudrah trip

Greeting..

these are couple of pictures form our trip to Khudrah ..which was a great trip.,it was raining on our way to khudrah , and the weather was a bit humid after that.

we had a nice couple of new zealanders and some of them came to al ain and had to leave in the same day , a one day trip to al ain !! :)

now on our trip we've seen our regular donkey and i love donkeys so very much..even i have a donkey toy at my car. , to ME they are adorable!!

here when it comes to rain it rains about 5 or 10 minutes some even are less ..but to US here in UAE is too much!!..so every body get excited and wonder where the rain is ..some do play with it ..so do just so happy to look at it ..(i am one of them!). ,some guys start rock and roll with there cars over the rain...and every body seems to have a wonderful smile on the face.
and then i had a wired experience with one of the robber fly i saw , the robber fly was on the water and i thought it might need help , so i took it out ..but then it flew again and went to the water ..again i took it out ..and again it flew to the water ..it's just i couldn't understand that kind of behavior. If it's lay eggs then it should be flying and dropping the eggs but this one no idea!then at the Begining of the khudrah oasis there is a sign said: (da' al makan ahsan memm ma kan), which mean "LEAVE THE PLACE BETTER THAN IT WAS"

after that we saw a couple of spiders where i was saying scorpions scorpions , ( my English just about to improve!) , one of the spiders had eggs at the back. Heaps of dragonflies over there too

Uboul fort

This is the Uboul fort in Burimi area.

This fort has a magic feeling when you look at it or be inside it.

those kind of places i really call them witness of life on that time.

you always wonder how these people used to live , what the used to do in these fort , how many years it took to build , what events this fort has witnessed. , what people used to do inside it ..etc etc etc..

it's just how such a place being made by mud and bricks and still standing ..other being made by technology and has been destroyed easily!!

I forgot to introduce my self after all this long time.

My name is Amer abu kuhail , i am almost 23 years old , studying finance and banking in my last semester. and isnahallah i am going to do masters on journalism.

I am originally from Palestine , but born and raised in United Arab Emirates (middle east, gulf region).

I start getting interested in photography 4 years ago when i joined the emirates natural history group which was a break through in my life. :)

I like taking pictures on insects , wildlife , nature , history and culture..people as well.

I have Nikon D80 , 18-55 lens and 70-300 Nikon lens , has a canon close up filter for my 70-300 lens , SB28 Nikon flash.

i really like taking very details pictures as i really like seeing things in detail.

First , i thought they are like other people who look for cans to collect..BUT i was surprised as they been looking for FOOD to eat.., i wouldn't believe what my eyes seeing!!!

Most of us start to complain about their salary ..or some kids start crying because they didn't get the latest harry potter book or their new PSP has been destroyed..

Those kids ! , all the want is just a small piece of old bread ..or any thing that cant shut their hunger..

ومن صور الطبيعة التي أثرت فيه يقول أبوكحيل تستهويني صور الجبال والمرتفعات التي تمكنني من مشاهدة الأفق الواسع والتزود بقدر كبير من الأمل النشاط والتحفز على اعتبار أن المجال مفتوح لكل من يسعى لتحقيق أهدافه وانه لا حدود لتحقيق الأماني والأهداف والآمال طالما أن الإنسان يسير وفق خطط صحيحة.
وحول تأثره بالصور التي اشتهرت عالميا يقول أبوكحيل أكثر صورة أثرت فيني صورة لمصور من جنوب إفريقيا انتقل للتصوير في دولة افريقية كانت تعاني من المجاعة فوقعت عدسته على طفل كان يزحف باتجاه المخيم والنسر يرقبه إلى أن هجم عليه واكله.
وهذه الصورة على الرغم من أنها نقلت المصور إلى العالمية إلا انه في النهاية أقدم على الانتحار بعد أن شعر بألم الصورة التي فعلا أثرت في نفوس الملايين من البشر، وعلى الرغم من انه حقق العالمية إلا أن ما حمله من ألم في قرارة نفسه اختار أن يضع حدا لألمه بعد أن شعر أنه كان من الممكن أن ينقذ الطفل من بين أنياب النسر وكان أمام خيارين إما أن يوصل للعالم حقيقة ما يجري في تلك البلاد أو أن ينقذ الطفل ويخسر تلك الصورة التي قلبت موازين كثيرة.
وحول طموحاته أكد أبوكحيل انه يضع العالمية نصب عينيه وانه سيحققها يوما ما ولكن وقتها لن يقدم على الانتحار لأنه يؤمن برسالته، ويعلم أن ما يقدمه فن ورسالة عظيمة.

They made 3 stitches and i am not able to sit on any chair for three days or four.

Greetings..here is the last gallery from the zakher pool place..i went over there from 5 in the morning till 9:30 in the morning and taking pictures of birds and insects.
It was a not a very good day for pictures as it was humid but i ended up with those three galleries.., first one was about birds , then about insects , and here is the last one about dragonfly.
all these three galleries is a gift for the person i love. , i am sure she know her self.

Update: the red bug is some type of cotton stainer bug (Dysdercus sp)similar to milkweed bug in the USThe fly is probably a hoverfly (maybe Eristalinus sp.)Just go to images.google. com and put these names in.You'll find many similar insects

the weather was not that bad actually not as hot as people would think! , we spend a nice time over there , then we head to quick view of jazeera.

couple of pictures from subitah trip last week , yes it was a bit humed , bu the trip was great.

the swimming pool was great , and most of our members swam and enjoyed the time.

the wierd thing we saw this time , lots of toads were died on the falaj (more than 20 toads)

as what i understood that they died because they drank too much water!
